Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever secured their biggest win of the season, notching an 88-82 victory over the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday. After the game, Fever star Kelsey Mitchell gave her honest insight on playing with Clark, given the rise in viewership and attention toward Indiana.

“I think the same eyes on her in Iowa, so I think she’s kind of like mastered how it’s supposed to go. Hats off to her for dealing with it. I think for us it’s obviously an adjustment. We’re new to Caitlin and Caitlin is new to us, so it’s an adjustment as far as far as those eyes, but me personally, I’m fine,” said Mitchell via Desert Wave Media on X.

The Fever helped attract one of the biggest crowds in Mercury history, drawing 17,017 fans into the highly anticipated matchup between Clark and Diana Taurasi.

Clark and Taurasi were bound to bring in a large crowd, but this viewership isn’t new for the Fever. They’re the most viewed team on television this season, helping break viewership records for various networks like ESPN and NBA TV

Mitchell made it clear that the attention surrounding the Fever is an adjustment, but the veteran guard hasn’t skipped a beat. She’s posted an average of 16.3 points and 1.9 assists through Indiana’s 8-12 record.
