Diana Taurasi #3 of the Phoenix Mercury talks to the media after the game against the Washington Mystics on May 23, 2024 at Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Diana Taurasi did not have much to say when asked about Sunday’s matchup with Caitlin Clark.
Taurasi, one of the best players in WNBA history, had just four words to say when asked about facing Clark, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, for the first time on Sunday.
“Yeah, it’ll be fun.”
You would think that Taurasi, one of the game’s most outspoken players, would have more to say on the topic. Many fans are accusing her of being “classless” ahead of the first matchup with the top rookie guard.
“Every time I see Taurasi get interviewed, I say to myself “NOW I remember why nobody watched womens basketball for the last 25yrs,'” one fan wrote.
“She’s so fake…” one fan added.
“She’s so jealous of her 😂😂😂😂😂” one fan added.
“She can’t hide the pettiness. Contrast this to the love that A’ja just showed to Angel the other day…” one fan added.
