On Sunday afternoon, the Indiana Fever came into Phoenix’s Footprint Center and took down the Mercury with an 88-82 final score.
Caitlin Clark played well in the highly-anticipated matchup. The Fever’s No. 1 overall pick recorded 15 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds — nearly becoming the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double.
Clark did all this without playing at 100%.
After the game, Clark was not made available to speak with media. Head coach Christie Sides revealed that the rookie was not feeling well, and had been dealing with migraines throughout the game.
Clark met with Indiana’s trainer for treatment after the win.

Migraines are nothing new for Clark. The former Iowa superstar dealt with these issues throughout her all-time great, record-breaking NCAA career.
Now at the WNBA level, it appears Clark is just as equipped to succeed through these migraines.

Clark and the Fever erased a double-digit lead in the second half to mount this upset victory. Kelsey Mitchell played a huge role down the stretch, scoring all of her 16 points in the second half as Indiana stormed back.
The Fever will face off against the Las Vegas Aces in their next matchup on Tuesday night.
