The undefeated Floyd Mayweather would end up getting ‘strangled’ by a JuJitsu fighter in an MMA contest, according to Joe Rogan.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan launched a scathing attack on Floyd Mayweather by suggesting he “would get killed by an average college wrestler.”

During an interview with Inked magazine in 2013, the 52-year-old podcast host and comedian slammed any chance of Mayweather successfully crossing over into MMA.

“MMA for sure is more of a realistic contest, more of a realistic test as far as using the body in martial arts competition,” Rogan said.

“Although not considered a martial art, boxing is really a martial art.

“It’s a very limited martial art as long as you agree to just box… but in an actual physical fight against someone who’s just a wrestler, you’re going to get killed.

“Floyd Mayweather would get killed by an average college wrestler. There would be no competition.

“If you took Floyd Mayweather today and made him fight against your average college wrestler, that college wrestler is going to shoot on him, pick him up, drop him on his head and knock him out.

“There’s nothing Floyd can do about it… A judo guy would do the same thing to him. A JuJitsu guy would strangle him, no question about it.”

Mayweather, who retired from boxing undefeated, had previously taken shots at the combat sport and caused quite a stir with MMA fans.

During an interview with CBS Sports in 2009, the 42-year-old American made an outrageous claim that there were “no white fighters in boxing that’s dominating, so they had to go to something else and start something new.”

And only last year Mayweather slammed the idea of fighting in MMA by saying that he is “not a f*****g degenerate.”

He explained: “Conor [McGregor] and Khabib [Nurmagomedov] are still bringing me up.

“Like I said before, I’m the face of combat sports.

“I do interviews, I talk with you guys, I tell you how it is — I give it to you A, B, C — this is how it is.

“And still you want to ask [about MMA]?

“No. I’m not a f*****g degenerate. I’m not going to go into someone else’s cage and do what they do.

“If that was the case, I would do that from the beginning.

“Everyone knows I’m a boxer, Floyd Mayweather is a boxer.

“If anybody want to compete against me, it’s in a boxing ring. Simple.”

Mayweather famously returned to boxing in 2017 for a blockbuster clash with UFC superstar Conor McGregor.

And ‘Money’ secured a stunning TKO victory over the Irishman at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and notched up his 50th professional win.
