Selena Gomez Calls Out “Vile” Trolls After Hailey Bieber’s “Call Her Daddy” Interview

Selena Gomez urged people to be “kind” a day after Hailey Bieber denied “stealing” Justin Bieber from her in a viral podcast interview.

While former Disney star Selena did not reference the Rhode Skin founder directly in a TikTok live clip, she cryptically said of the situation: “I think some of the things that I don’t even need to be aware of are just vile and disgusting. And it’s not fair because no one ever should be spoken to in the manner that I’ve seen.”

Promoting the Kind Words Matte lipstick, a new release from her Rare Beauty makeup brand, the Only Murders In The Building star continued: “It’s incredibly ironic that I would release something that is all about kind words because that’s exactly what I want. That’s it. If you support Rare, I cannot thank you enough but know that you are also representing what it means, and that is words matter. Truly matter.”

Selena Gomez concluded her message, saying: “So it’s coming from me, and I just want all of you to know that I hope that you understand that this is much bigger than anything else … I’m really grateful to all of you for hearing me out, so have a wonderful rest of your day, and I appreciate all the love. Thank you.”

This comes after Hailey denied claims she “stole” her now-husband Justin from Selena in a tell-all interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast.

“A lot of the hate and perpetuation comes from like [the idea that] ‘you stole him’. It’s about people knowing the truth because there is a truth,” Hailey said. “When him and I started hooking up, or anything of that sort, he was not in any relationship. It’s not my character to mess with someone’s relationship. I was raised better than that.”

“I understand how it looks from the outside, but that was a situation where I know for a fact that it was the right thing for [Justin and Selena] to close that door, but of course, there’s a very long history there, and I respect that a lot. I don’t want to talk on either one of their behalves,” Hailey added.

The daughter of Stephen Baldwin went on to explain in the interview that the online hate became so bad following her wedding to Justin in 2018 that she had “really dark” thoughts of suicidal ideation. To work through her issues, Hailey returned to therapy at the end of the last year for an “intensive” program with doctors.
