While a few basketball legends within Indiana exist, Reggie Miller stands out.
The Pacers icon is adored by the Indiana basketball community, especially for him scoring 8 points in 8.9 seconds to beat the New York Knicks in Game 1 of the 1995 Eastern Conference semifinals (which Knicks fans have still not gotten over).
And while Miller’s playing days are now long behind him, the TNT analyst gave his honest take on what Indiana hopes is a future basketball legend in their state, Caitlin Clark.
During a recent podcast episode, Miller said of the WNBA, “The women’s game, they’re just straight ballers.”

“And what did you expect was going to happen to [Clark]?” Miller continued. “I don’t think it’s jealously… you’re playing at the highest level, you’re playing in the WNBA. You’re coming from college… what did she expect was going to happen? You’re playing against grown women.”
“First of all, you go from high school, and it’s a learning curve when you go to college. And then from college, when you go to the highest level, there’s gonna be a learning curve. There’s only so many rookies that’s ever been successful,” Miller concludes.
