The WNBA community received devastating news on Wednesday.

It was reported Los Angeles Sparks rookie Cameron Brink suffered a torn ACL in her left knee.

The injury diagnosis came the morning after Brink twisted her knee while driving to the basket during the first quarter of Tuesday’s game against the Connecticut Sun.

Brink could be seen immediately wincing and grabbing her left knee. She had to be assisted off the court by her teammates and missed the rest of the game.

Now we know Brink will miss the rest of the WNBA season and the Olympics.

Fellow WNBA rookie Angel Reese took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message to Brink upon hearing the news.

Reese also included a photo of her and Brink while at the 2024 WNBA draft.
