Patrick Mahomes. Bryce Harper. Jason Tatum. None of those All-Star athletes have as many ESPY nominations as Caitlin Clark.
The Des Moines Register reports that ESPN announced the 2024 ESPY nominations on Wednesday and only one athlete is up for three different awards. Indiana Fever guard and former Iowa Hawkeye Caitlin Clark. And this isn’t her first time getting some love from the ESPY’s. Last year Clark took home the award for best women’s college athlete. So which awards is Caitlin up for this year?
The Register reports that Caitlin Clark is up for these ESPY Awards.
Best Athlete, Women’s Sports for her Iowa women’s basketball career. It is the first nomination for Clark in this category.
Best Record-Breaking Performance for Clark becoming the all-time leading scorer in NCAA history, breaking Pistol Pete’s mark.
Best College Athlete, Women’s Sports for Iowa women’s basketball.
The ESPY Awards are fan-voted and you can cast your vote through 4 p.m. Iowa time on July 11th. Vote for Caitlin in her three categories HERE.
The 2024 ESPY Awards will air on ABC on July 11th at 7 p.m. Iowa time and will be hosted by Serena Williams.
