Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever came out on top on Sunday against a determined Minnesota Lynx side in what turned out to be a thrilling encounter between the two sides. In the end, it was Indiana that prevailed, 81-74.
The win did not come without incident, though, particularly on the Clark front. At one point in the game, the Fever superstar was called for a technical foul for what was later assessed as a hostile act.
Clark did not appreciate Lynx forward Cecilia Zandalasini grabbing her by the arm, which prompted the rookie sensation to extend her arm in her opponent’s direction.

After reviewing the play, the game officials deemed that Clark’s act was worthy of a technical foul, which was her fourth tech of the regular season.
At this point, the 22-year-old is just three technical fouls away from an automatic one-game suspension.
Clark won’t be suspended for inadvertently hitting Zandalasini in the face, but she is now in danger of being sanctioned if she gets three more technical fouls moving forward.
There are 15 more games to be played in the regular season and given her temperament, fans will now be keeping a close eye on what could be a looming suspension for the rookie.
