After drawing numerous eyeballs to collegiate women’s basketball in the United States, Caitlin Clark is aiming to retain the masses through the WNBA. Clark had a rocky start to the big league and is still having some tussles with the players. Nevertheless, the Indiana Fever rookie leads the squad with 16.1 points and 6.2 assists per game.
Moreover, she recently became the fastest player to reach 200 points, 75 rebounds and 75 assists in WNBA history. In light of her rocketing professional career, Clark recently posted a throwback picture of herself from her childhood.

Gyamfi has always been one of Clark’s loudest supporters. Even during the 2024 draft night, Gyamfi traveled to New York to cheer for her Hawkeyes teammate. Gabbie Marshall and Kate Martin were also present to see the Fever pick Clark as the first overall pick.
Caitlin Clark’s supporters extend beyond the basketball court
Despite the excitement and crowd Caitlin Clark brings to the WNBA, the league has failed to be welcoming of the rookie. She has consistently been on the receiving end of hard fouls and struggled to replicate her Iowa numbers. Moreover, she was recently snubbed from the 2024 USA women’s Olympic roster.
Nevertheless, as Clark uses these adversities as motivation, tennis legend Serena Williams recently applauded the Indiana guard for staying grounded. During the premiere of her eight-part docuseries, Williams motivated Clark to stay the course.
“I think it’s so important to just continue doing what she’s doing, no matter what other people do. If people are negative, it’s because they can’t do what you do, basically. And hopefully she’ll continue to do what she’s doing,” Williams said.
Despite not having her name on the national roster, Clark urges fans to treat each WNBA player with respect. Moreover, she consciously maintains a distance from off-court narratives. While Clark faces a lot of heat for not using her influence to advocate for social issues, the rookie likes to focus on basketball.
