Sunday’s highly-anticipated matchup between Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever and Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky is now underway.

Clark has started the game off strong, already having matched her seven-point scoring total from her last game against the Atlanta Dream.

An added intrigue to this matchup is that is takes place on a national holiday, as June 16th is Father’s Day.

Clark’s father can usually be found in attendance during all of his only daughter’s games. And prior to Sunday’s game, Clark shared some emotional words about her father’s impact on her life.

During her pregame press conference, Clark said, “A lot of these moments I’ve been able to share with him, and enjoy with him. And he has just been somebody that has been a rock for me.”

“It was never like ‘you have to do this’ or ‘you have to do that’,” Clark continued. “He’s a very supportive Dad in whatever I wanted to do, so that’s something I’ve been forever grateful for.”

We imagine that Clark’s father will be in attendance for her game against Angel Reese and the Sky on Sunday.
