Angel Reese warms up in D.C.

Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese isn’t afraid about ruining momentum. Just 24 hours after making WNBA history by recording her 13 consecutive double-double, she revealed that she has a new hairstyle.

Reese, the No. 7 pick from this year’s draft, is rocking a shorter hairstyle now. She shared photos of her new look on Instagram.

Most of Reese’s followers have raved about this hairstyle on her. Some even think it’s an improvement from her previous look.

“You ate sis,” one fan said.

“She may go for 30-30 tomorrow that’s all this hairstyle is telling me,” another fan wrote.

Reese will get to show off her new hairstyle at the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game later this month. She’s one of two rookies to make Team WNBA, with Caitlin Clark being the other.

“I’m just so happy. I know the work I put in,” Reese said, via ESPN. “Coming into this league, so many people doubted me and didn’t think my game would translate and I wouldn’t be the player that I was in college or better or would be worse and wouldn’t be where I am right now.

“But I trusted the process and I believed and I’m thankful that I dropped to [pick No. 7] and was able to come to Chicago. And like, it’s just a blessing. I can’t thank my teammates and my coaches enough for just believing in me and trusting me. I know all of them are going to come to Phoenix and support me. So I’m really happy right now.”

Reese will be back in action this Wednesday against the Atlanta Dream. She’s currently averaging 14.1 points and 11.9 rebounds per game.
