Caitlin Clark is speaking out about not making the 12-woman roster for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

The Indiana Fever was snubbed by the USA basketball roster on Saturday, as she wasn’t one of 12 women chosen to compete for a gold medal in France

On Sunday, Clark addressed the decision.

“I’m excited for the girls that are on the team,” she said. “I’m excited for them, going to be rooting them on to win gold. I was a kid who grew up watching the Olympics and it’ll be fun watching.”

She added: “Honestly, no disappointment. It just gives me something to work for.”

Clark has had a really busy last 12 months, playing for Iowa in 2023-24 and then going straight into the WNBA regular season. She admitted that she’s been looking forward to getting some rest in July and early August, when the Summer Olympics will take place.

The 2024 Summer Olympics are scheduled to begin in Paris, France in late July and they will run through early August.

This year’s games will air across NBC’s networks. The U.S. women’s national team is the overwhelming favorite to bring back the gold medal this summer.
