After exploding for 30 points against the worst team in the WNBA, Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark couldn’t get her rhythm in Monday night’s loss to the No. 1 team right now in the league. She finished the Fever’s 89-72 loss to the Connecticut Sun on the road with just 10 points on 3/8 shooting from the field.

Clark might also have come away with a hurting body after another physical encounter with the Sun.

In the first quarter, Clark tried to go after a loose ball but found herself battling for it against Connecticut star Alyssa Thomas. The veteran forward was not going to let Clark win the possession, as she used her strength to take the ball out of Clark’s hands.

Clark was then swung around like a toddler while Thomas ripped the ball from the Fever guard. Thomas is inches taller and over 50 pounds beefier than Clark, so it wasn’t much of a surprise why she ended up winning that brief tussle for the leather.

Fans also can’t seem to get over that moment.

“Sheesh Caitlin Clark got the ball literally ripped out of her hands by Alyssa Thomas…but y’all thought she could hang at the Olympics.”

“Considering Alyssa Thomas choke slammed Angel Reese, I’d say Clark got lucky. Anyone else think about that “Rookie-Os” commercial way more than you probably should?”

“Clark got to get in the weight room. 😂😂”

“LMFAO she needs to get in the weight room fr”

“AT ripped that ball like CC was a gnat😆🔥☀️”

“Alyssa Thomas is about to get so much hate now from the Caitlin Clark cultists.”

Clark and the Fever dropped to 3-10 after the loss to Connecticut, which then improved to 10-1.
