Diana Taurasi has been caught in the crossfire of Caitlin Clark not making Team USA’s women’s basketball team for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Many people believe that Clark is more deserving of a spot than Taurasi, who turns 42 years old on Tuesday.

Although there’s no question that Taurasi is an all-time WNBA great, many fans feel like five Olympic gold medals is enough for her, and that it’s now time for Clark to get an opportunity.

Not that Taurasi cares about what fans have to say or think.

In fact, Taurasi sent a strong message to WNBA fans on Monday night about all of this ongoing drama.

“Players, fans, reporters — just do your research,” Taurasi said to CBS Sports on Monday. “Gather the facts. I think we’re in a day and age where anything that is said is taken for a fact or that’s the way it is, and I think we just got to make sure we know who’s good at basketball and who’s not.”

“You have to really focus on doing your research, and that’s for everyone,” Taurasi reiterated.

Take Taurasi’s message how you will.
