Being a referee is a tough job in any sport, but when you’re calling a game for one of the most popular and polarizing players in a growing league like the WNBA, you’re bound to face some backlash for your calls.

The refs for Caitlin Clark’s game between the Indiana Fever and Washington Mystics found that out the hard way on Wednesday night.

In the second half of the Fever win, Clark drove for a layup and got blatantly hit on the arm, but no call was made, with the refs claiming it was a clean block.

Unsurprisingly, fans online let the officials have it for their no-call.

Clark got the last laugh in the 88-81 win, scoring 18 points with 12 rebounds and six assists.

The Fever are now 6-10 on the season.
