Four months ago, Miley Cyrus made history by emerging victorious, for the first time in her 18-year career , at a Grammy Awards ceremony . Now that she has assimilated the honor, the artist ironized the fact that she was only taken seriously at that moment, after almost two decades of career. In February , she won two gramophones for the smash hit “Flowers”, which recently reached 2 billion plays on Spotify alone .

On February 4th , the artist who rose to stardom in 2006 with the successful Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana” , took home the “Record of the Year” and “Best Pop Solo Performance” statuettes . Fans already imagined – and of course, hoped – that her first victory would come, as the previous year she had stolen the show with “Flowers”.

“Not to be indirect, but I had been doing this [music] for 20 years, and this was my first time actually being taken seriously at the Grammys? I had a hard time figuring out what the parameter is, because if we want to talk about statistics and numbers, then where the hell was I? And if you want to talk about impact on culture, then where the hell was I? It’s not about arrogance. I’m proud of myself”, Miley declared to the North American magazine W Magazine , in an interview published this Monday (3) .

To the publication, the singer also commented on her relationship with Beyoncé . The two shocked the public by sharing vocals on the track “II MOST WANTED”, which is featured on Queen B ’s latest album , “COWBOY CARTER” (2024). Rumors circulated on the internet, including that Beyoncé had invited Miley to the partnership after watching her performance at the 2024 Grammys.

“Sometimes I forget to talk about things that are normal in my everyday life, like texting Beyoncé. It’s a really cute part of our relationship, over the last few years I’ve really made my life more private and what I share with the public. She’s the same way. Part of our relationship is the security between us,” shared Miley .

“I told her, ‘We don’t need to go country; we are country. We’ve always been country. You’re from Texas and I’m from Tennessee, a lot of us will be on this song.’ Having the opportunity to write and sing a song for Beyoncé was a dream come true” , added the singer.

Fans of both even hope to see them together for more projects associated with the feat. In recent weeks, some insiders have pointed to the release of a recorded performance of the partnership, featuring Beyoncé and Miley together. There is, however, no confirmation regarding the project.
