In 2022, Henry Cavill surprised his fans by announcing that he would no longer play the role of Superman in DC Studios films, after failing to reach an agreement with the new directors.
“I just had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran and it is sad news for everyone. After all, I will not return as Superman,” the actor wrote on his Instagram account.
And then it was announced that the person who would replace him would be the American actor David Corenswet, who was immediately rejected by fans, and now that his first images with the suit were leaked, the reactions have not been the best.

David Corenswet was caught on set while filming some scenes for the new Superman movie and was wearing the blue suit, with a red cape and boots and the S in the middle.
However, the comments have not been encouraging, as most of the film’s fans are asking for Henry Cavill to return and claiming that Corenswer will not be able to match him.

Although the actor revealed that he underwent a tough training to transform into the new Superman and evidently has more muscles than before, and that he bears a resemblance to Henry, fans do not accept it and claim that it is not only because of him, but also because of the suit that has disappointed.
The premiere of Superman: Legacy is scheduled for July 11, 2025 and will be part of DC’s relaunch, so it is a test for Warner after its recent failures.
