Superman Needs Backup! Henry Cavill Calls for Fatherhood Advice – S

Henry Cavill is looking for tips on fatherhood | CNN

Henry Cavill sought out some fatherly advice this Father’s Day weekend.

On Sunday, the 41-year-old posted a picture of himself in a nursery to Instagram asking for “tips” as he shared how he’s preparing for fatherhood. In April, he confirmed that he and his girlfriend Natalie Viscuso, 34, are expecting their first child.
In his Father’s Day post, Cavill reflected on how the start of his fatherhood journey is approaching.

“Oh yeah…..and Happy Father’s Day ye dads out there. Turns out I shall be joining your hallowed ranks soon!” he wrote in his caption. “Any tips??”
The “Man of Steel” actor shared how he plans to arrange the crib behind him for when the baby arrives. He jokingly added that he will provide tools for the child to create statuettes, in reference to the “Warhammer 40000” project he is involved in with Viscuso, a television producer.

“And don’t worry, pillows won’t be in the crib when the wee one arrives, just glue and scalpels so he or she can build Warhammer miniatures #FathersDay,” he added.

his co-star Henry Golding, father of two, inspired him to pursue fatherhood “in his next chapter,” he said that it was his parents who inspired him.

“I mean, he didn’t inspire me to do that. My parents did,” he said.

He also shared that he and Viscuso are excited to embark on their upcoming journey, adding more may come. “I’m very excited about it, and Natalie and I are both very excited,” he said “I’m sure you’ll see much more of that.”

The reporter told Cavill that he will make a “great dad,” to which the actor replied, “Thank you.”

When speaking to E! News that same night, he shared how Viscuso’s pregnancy modified the couple’s date nights.

This is not the first time the “Justice League” star has shared his thoughts on embracing fatherhood in his future. In 2017, he told Men’s Health UK that he wants to be a “fit” and “healthy” father, so he has the energy to chase after his children.

“You know, if I ever have kids one day, I want to be the dad who’s running round after them,” Cavill told the outlet. “And if I do have kids, even now, it’s starting to get quite late. But I want to be a fit and healthy dad, not hobbling round like, ‘OK, I’m just going to catch a breather.’ Yeah, I’m going to take care of my body—look good, but not smash it.”

Cavill and Viscuso made their relationship public in 2021 when they posted a picture of them playing chess together on Instagram.
The “Superman” actor wrote, “This is me looking quietly confident shortly before my beautiful and brilliant love Natalie, destroys me at chess.”
On Viscuso’s post she wrote, “Just teaching my dear Henry how to play some chess…or…maybe he let me win?”
The couple then made their first public appearance together in Oct 2022 at the premiere of Cavill’s film “Enola Holmes 2”. They have attended multiple red-carpet events since.
 Henry Cavill’s Career

Cavill is best known for his starring role as Superman in DC’s “Man of Steel,” which premiered in 2013.  He also starred in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” in 2016 and “Justice League” in 2017 as the same character. He has also appeared in multiple Netflix series, such as “The Witcher” and “Enola Holmes.”
The actor has already appeared in two films this year titled, “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” and “Argylle,” as seen on IMDb.
In 2022, Cavill announced in a video posted to Instagram that he is “back as Superman” following DC’s “Black Adam” film opening, expressing gratitude to his fans and saying that there is more to come. However, shortly after that announcement, he followed with another Instagram post sayng he will ultimately “not be returning” as the superhero character.
“After being told by the studio to announce my return back in October, prior to their hire, this news isn’t the easiest, but that’s life,” he wrote. “My turn to wear the cape has passed, but what Superman stands for never will. It’s been a fun ride with you all, onwards and upwards.”

In April, Cavill told Entertainment Tonight that he is “enjoying this stage of my life very much.”

“I have a real sense of approaching everything with more direction now,” he said. “One of the advantages of getting older is that you have the beauty of hindsight. Now with my career especially, I’ve got a lot of direction, and I’m going to focus on enjoying it more than I’ve been able to in the past.”
