Every year there will be a free megashow on Copacabana Beach if it depends on the current mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes . After Madonna ‘s successful performance on Saturday, May 4th, Paes revealed that he intends to include an event of this size in the city’s annual calendar.

“We are going to make every first Saturday in May a kind of day of celebration. If you want, it can be ‘Celebration May’ . I think it’s good to use the foreign name, because Rio is international” , reported the newspaper O Globo.

Regarding the attractions, the mayor of Rio revealed that he has a list of requests, which include Beyoncé , U2 and a hologram of Michael Jackson . However, he already has his favorite artist for next year’s megashow.

“There are a lot of people asking for Beyoncé , asking for Michael Jackson ‘s show in Las Vegas with a hologram, there are all kinds of requests, strong pressure. But I just want to express that my lobby will be for U2 , ” she warned.

He continued: “But the fact is that the city is open to receive, with funding from the public authorities if necessary, because the gain for the city is very large.
