Giga Chikadze Reveals His Passionate Support for England Football Team

Giga Chikadze and England Football Team

The UEFA Euro 2024 will conclude this Sunday, with England taking on Spain in the finals. The tournament saw impressive performances from many teams, notably Georgia, who defeated Portugal in the group stages but lost in the pre-quarters. His nation’s performance impressed Georgian UFC featherweight Giga Chikadze, who recently revealed he would support England to triumph at the Olympiastadion.

‘The Ninja’ will be in England in a few weeks as he has scheduled a fight against Arnold Allen, a hometown favorite, at UFC 304 in London. Speaking to Michael Bisping, the first British UFC champion, about the fight, Chikadze also revealed his admiration for the England Football Team.”I’ve been an England fan for a long time. Michael Owen was my favorite when I was a kid,” the 35-year-old said.

UFC 304 won’t be the Georgian fighter’s first visit to England. As a kickboxer, Ninja has fought in London for a tournament. Interestingly, he won’t be arriving early in London to acclimate to the time zone as the fight would be on US time, meaning the main card will be in the early morning on July 28 at Co-op Live.

Giga Chikadze Praises Arnold Allen Ahead of UFC 304 Clash

Giga Chikadze, ranked 9th in the featherweight division, would be taking on 6th-ranked Arnold Allen at UFC 304. Allen is on a two-fight losing streak, albeit to elite featherweights like Max Holloway and Movsar Evloev. Preluding the fight, Chikadze only had good things to say about his opponent.

“He’s obviously like well-rounded in all distance, you know. He has good wrestling and grappling. He’s training at one of the high-level grappling gyms as well. Like, mindset in MMA, their gym is kind of grappling, I believe. But obviously, he’s a good striker as well. Nice output game,” Chikadze said.

Despite being on a losing streak, Allen is a sizeable betting favorite over his Georgian counterpart. Will the decisive kickboxing game of Ninja be enough to defeat ‘Almighty’ Allen? Only time will tell.
