Michael Page has silenced any doubts about his ability to compete at the highest level of MMA by completely defeating Kevin Holland at UFC 299. Now, the English “Phenom” is setting his sights on a new target this summer.

That target is none other than rising star Ian Garry. According to information Page has received, Colby Covington—the opponent Garry was hoping to face—might not be available for the bout.

“I know the event in England is being prepared, and it’s a good fight (with Ian Garry). But they said Colby has agreed, so we’re waiting for another name.”

“Then it seems Colby is having issues. I’m not sure what it is, but he can’t fight. They (UFC) asked me if I could step in. I immediately responded, let’s make that fight in the UK, I agree immediately.”

“I’m not too bothered when the fight happens; I could fight next week. I just say it would mean a lot more if it was in the UK. I’ve accepted, he says he has accepted, it’s just no official offer yet.”
