INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – JUNE 16: Caitlin Clark #22 of the Indiana Fever and Angel Reese #5 of the Chicago Sky look on during a game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on June 16, 2024 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Chicago Sky sent a clear shot at Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Sunday.
Clark made WNBA history on Saturday, recording the first triple-double as a rookie in league history. On Sunday, Sky rookie Angel Reese had her own big game, recording another double-double.
Following the game, the Sky took a clear shot at Clark and the Fever on social media.
“Record setter. THE front runner. #skytown,” they wrote.

While many Clark fans were not happy with the post, dubbed by “classless” as some, there are others who agree with the Sky’s declaration.
ESPN analyst Monica McNutt is among them.
“My rookie of the year is going to go based off the standings because I think that is how you have to measure impact,” McNutt said. “And the Sky right now are in the playoffs, so you have to give the nod, in my mind, to Angel Reese.”
Neither the Sky nor the Fever are near the top of the WNBA standings, so things will probably work out as the season goes on.
Should the Rookie of the Year go to Clark or Reese at this point in the season?
