Angel Reese Makes Her Opinion of WNBA Legend Lisa Leslie Extremely Clear

Despite rookie sensation Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky not securing a win against the Seattle Storm on Friday, Reese still set a WNBA record with 13 consecutive double-doubles.

This comes after Reese was named a WNBA All-Star last week; which earned her the praise of WNBA legend Lisa Leslie.

In an X post last week, Leslie wrote, “@Reese10Angel I’m so proud of you!

And Reese offered her own praise for Leslie during the Sky’s postgame press conference on Sunday.

“Well first, happy birthday Lisa, I love you,” Reese said when asked about her record comparing to what WNBA greats like Leslie have accomplished, per Chicago State of Mind Sports.

“I think it’s great for me, being able to know where I’m at right now. Obviously I’m not satisfied where I’m at,” Reese added. “I have coaches and teammates around me who believe in me and trust me… and I’m lucky to be named among these amazing players.

“I’ve always given my flowers to them before me, because they laid the ground for me,” Reese concluded.

Clearly Reese holds Leslie in very high regard.
