‘There’s no deal made that it’s guaranteed that if the Lakers draft Bronny at 55, he will re-sign’: LeBron James Drops Truth Bomb About Playing On The Same Team As His Son Bronny & It May Shock You | HO

LeBron James at Bronny James USC game

LeBron James apparently no longer cares about playing on the same team as his son, Bronny James, according to his agent.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar has indicated on several occasions that playing with his oldest son is his dream, but now that Bronny’s on the verge of entering the pros, his father might not be all that keen on it anymore.

Said agent, Rich Paul, also one of LeBron’s closest friends, spoke to ESPN this Wednesday and revealed the 39-year-old doesn’t feel the same way about teaming up with Bronny in the NBA.

He also revealed that LBJ would not sign with the Phoenix Suns on a minimum deal even if they draft the former USC guard.

“LeBron is off this idea of having to play with Bronny,” Paul said. “If he does, he does. But if he doesn’t, he doesn’t. There’s no deal made that it’s guaranteed that if the Lakers draft Bronny at 55, he (LeBron) will re-sign.

“If that was the case, I would force them to take him at 17. We don’t need leverage. The Lakers can draft Bronny, and LeBron doesn’t (re-sign). LeBron is also not going to Phoenix for a minimum deal. We can squash that now.”

LeBron James’ Future Isn’t Dependent On Where Bronny Goes

Some analysts believe Bronny James will go undrafted this year, but the guard has attracted interest from multiple NBA teams. It was reported that he had received 10 workout offers but spurned all of them, save the ones from the Lakers and Suns.

The 19-year-old is likely to be a second-round pick, but LeBron James is now said to be of a different mindset and will not let the draft, particularly where his son ends up, influence his decision in free agency.

Of course, Rich Paul could be blowing smoke as he could already be fully aware of the Lakers’ plans. Let’s wait and see.
