Lynx Head Coach Knows Reason for WNBA Sellouts: Fever Tracker

Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve acknowledged the significant influence of Caitlin Clark.

JULY 16 CAITLIN CLARK BOOM! Even in defeat, Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve couldn’t take credit away from Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. Following the 81-74 loss to the Fever, Reeve admitted the superstar influence of Clark’s spreading throughout the WNBA.

“Everybody knows that the reason why our teama around the league are having sellouts are because Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are coming to town,” Reeve said.

Clark scored 17 points and recorded seven assists in the Fever win.

JULY 16 HALIBURTON IN MAMBA MODE Tyrese Haliburton is one of the best pure point guards in the league. He embodies what made Steve Nash special. However, he’s also one of the better shooters in the league, equipped with an unorthodox jumper. The Indiana Pacers star is unique, as was the player whose shoes he wore during a recent Team USA practice.

Fitting of a Team USA player, Haliburton wore red-white-and-blue Kobe 10s, with the American flag on the toe of the shoe.

Look at Haliburton’s shoes here.

JULY 15 YOU NEVER HAVE ENOUGH SHOOTING The Indiana Pacers are coming off a season in which they produced the highest offensive rating league-wide. Why not re-sign a player who was part (albeit a small percentage) of such success?

Doug McDermott played 18 games for the Pacers last season. Although he converted only 32 percent of his shots from deep for the Pacers, he’s averaged 41 percent from deep in his 10-year NBA career.

The Pacers have three roster spots to mix young and veteran players to round out the depth chart. At this stage in McDermott’s career, a veteran minimum contract isn’t out of the realm of possibility.
