“Phenomenal” Michael Page: “Let me fight Ian Garry at UFC 303 too.”

After an impressive debut at UFC 299, “The Phenom” Michael Page wants to create a showdown with Ian Garry to thrill the fans.

Michael Page has silenced any doubts about his ability to compete at the highest level of MMA by completely defeating Kevin Holland at UFC 299. Now, the English “Phenom” is setting his sights on a new target this summer.

That target is none other than rising star Ian Garry. According to information Page has received, Colby Covington—the opponent Garry was hoping to face—might not be available for the bout.

“I know the event in England is being prepared, and it’s a good fight (with Ian Garry). But they said Colby has agreed, so we’re waiting for another name.”

“Then it seems Colby is having issues. I’m not sure what it is, but he can’t fight. They (UFC) asked me if I could step in. I immediately responded, let’s make that fight in the UK, I agree immediately.”

Michael Page revealed that he has accepted to face Ian Garry

Michael Page is a major star in England, so a fight against an Irish fighter like Ian Garry at UFC 304 (Manchester) would certainly be a high-quality addition. However, according to UFC’s plans, Ian Garry wants to compete at UFC 303. The British Kung Fu master doesn’t see any issue with this timeline.

“I’m not too bothered when the fight happens; I could fight next week. I just say it would mean a lot more if it was in the UK. I’ve accepted, he says he has accepted, it’s just no official offer yet.”

Ian Garry extended his undefeated streak to 14 fights after defeating Geoff Neal at UFC 298. Born in 1997, Garry is seen as the future of the middleweight division, fittingly dubbed “The Future” for his captivating striking style – a perfect matchup for Michael Page, who holds the Bellator MMA knockout record.

UFC 303 recently suffered a major setback when Khalil Rountree Jr withdrew from his bout with former light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill. In search of a replacement, UFC could potentially feature Michael Page and Ian Garry in this highly anticipated event.
